Starting in 2003, the first step in applying for funding from the JSGF is to complete the Letter of Intent Questionnaire. In an effort to review grant applications in a more timely fashion, this questionnaire is designed to streamline our review process. We will request full grant application packages only from nonprofits that truly fit our geographic focus, application funding guidelines and current priorities.
All questionnaires will be reviewed and responded to within 60 days. If the JSGF Board is interested in reviewing a complete grant request from your organization, a grant application package will be mailed to you which lists all of the review requirements. Completed applications received by the required due dates will then be reviewed by the full Board of Directors within six (6) months. The Board of Directors will review approximately 50 grant requests for 2003.
The Josephine S. Gumbiner Foundation grantmaking guidelines and goals of funding organizations that offer programs and services that protect and enrich the lives of women and children in Long Beach remain unchanged.
