Applicants first must completed step 1, the letter of intent questionnaire. Those applicants that have met the JSGF funding criteria will receive a grant application and be invited to submit a full grant request. The application should be accompanied by a brief proposal letter (two pages or less) describing the following:
the purpose of the project for which funding is requested;
the primary methods to be used in conducting the project or program;
the professional qualifications of those involved in the project;
the project’s time frame and budget;
summary of proposed results and how those results will be measured.
Additional information may be requested by the Foundation, after acceptance of the application and proposal letter. The Foundation’s Executive Director may also schedule interviews and site visits.
The Josephine S. Gumbiner Foundation is interested mainly in supporting new or existing programs and general operating expenses.
